A Medical MCQ App Built for Entrance Exam Preparation on the Go

OBGY needed a mobile learning app for medical students preparing for postgraduate entrance exams. Intuz built a structured MCQ platform with explanatory answers, image-based questions, and a progress dashboard. More than 70% of their web users moved to the app within the first three months.

WHAT WE BUILT

From Existing Content to a Structured
Mobile Learning Platform

From Existing Content to a Structured Mobile Learning Platform

MCQ Bank with Explanatory Answers

We organised the client’s existing question content into a structured MCQ bank covering subjects including Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Each question comes with an explanatory answer and supporting references so students understand the reasoning behind every correct response, not just the answer itself.

Image-Based Questions

Medical entrance exams often test visual identification and clinical reasoning. We built support for image-based questions directly into the app, giving students practice with the same format they will face in their actual exams.

Progress Dashboard by Subject

We built a dashboard that shows each student’s performance broken down by subject. Unattempted, correct, and wrong attempts are tracked separately so students can see exactly where they stand and focus their preparation where it matters most.

Ask a Doctor Feature

We built a direct query feature that lets students submit questions to Dr. Punit Bhojani from within the app. Students fill in their name, email, mobile number, and message – giving them access to expert guidance without leaving the learning environment.

Everything Medical Students Need to
Prepare, Practice, and Progress

Practice Questions Built for Exam Conditions

Practice Questions Built for Exam Conditions

We structured the MCQ experience to mirror actual entrance exam conditions. Students see one question at a time, select their answer, and get immediate feedback – with correct answers highlighted in green and wrong ones in red. Every question includes an explanatory answer and a reference citation so students can trace the source and study further.

A Dashboard That Shows Exactly Where You Stand

We built a subject-wise performance dashboard that breaks down every student’s attempt history across subjects like Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Unattempted, correct, and wrong attempts are displayed as clear visual indicators – giving students a precise picture of their preparation at any point.

Structured MCQ Library by Subject

We organised the client’s full question content into a subject-wise MCQ library. Students can navigate by subject, attempt questions in sequence, and revisit topics without losing their progress. The library covers Gynaecology, Obstetrics, and related medical subjects.

LEARNING EXPLANATIONS

Explanatory Answers with References

Every MCQ in the app is paired with a detailed explanatory answer and a source reference – such as CDC guidelines or medical textbooks. Students do not just see what the correct answer is – they understand why, which is critical for exam-level preparation.

IMAGE QUESTIONS EXAM PREP

Visual and Image-Based Question Support

We built the app to support image-based questions alongside text MCQs. Students can practice identifying clinical images and visual data – the same format used in postgraduate medical entrance exams – directly within the app.

ENGAGEMENT NOTIFICATIONS

In-App Notifications Control

We gave students control over their notification preferences directly from the app menu. Students can toggle notifications on or off based on their study schedule, keeping the experience focused and free from unwanted interruptions.

EXPERT ACCESS ASK A DOCTOR

Direct Query Submission to Mentors

We built an in-app query feature that lets students send questions directly to course mentors. Students submit their name, email, mobile number, and message from within the app – giving them a direct line to expert guidance as part of the learning experience.

CONTENT PROTECTION DRM

DRM-Based Content Security

We integrated DRM-based protections into the platform to prevent unauthorised access to premium content. Screen recording blocking and download prevention are built into the content layer, keeping the client’s question bank and educational material secure.
