A Sports Event Discovery App for Nearby Sporting and Entertainment Events
Live 4 It Locations came to Intuz with an idea for a sports and entertainment event discovery app but no technical background to bring it to life. We designed and developed a full iOS and Android mobile app – covering wireframes, UI design, logo, and end-to-end development – turning their concept into a live product. The platform now helps users discover nearby sporting, activities, events, and volunteering opportunities all in one place.

From Concept to a Fully Working Mobile App
Requirements and Planning
Matthew came to Intuz with a business plan and rough wireframes but no technical direction. We reviewed everything, mapped the full app workflow, and recommended value-added features that strengthened the product before a single line of code was written.
iOS and Android Development
We developed the full app on both iOS and Android from the ground up. Every feature was built to work consistently across both platforms, giving Live 4 It Locations a product that could reach users wherever they were.
Location Discovery Engine
The core of the app was helping users find nearby sporting and entertainment events based on their location. We built and refined the nearby radius feature to ensure accurate, personalized results for every user based on where they were.
Logo and Visual Identity
Alongside the app, we helped Live 4 It Locations define their visual identity. Using Matthew’s rough drafts as a starting point, we developed logo options and guided the final direction based on what best represented the brand.

Everything Users Need to Discover and Engage Locally
Nearby Location Discovery Engine
The entire app was built around helping users find relevant sporting and entertainment locations based on where they were. We engineered the nearby radius feature to return accurate, real-time results personalised to each user’s position – making discovery feel immediate and relevant rather than generic.
Event and Facility Listing System
We built a system that let location owners and users list their own venues, facilities, and events directly within the app. This turned Live 4 It Locations into a two-sided platform – one side discovering, the other side listing – giving the product long-term content scalability without relying on a central admin.
Activity-Based Filtering and Search
We built individual detail screens for every location, showing images, description, address, ratings, and reviews. Users could get directions, check in, and upload photos all from one screen without being pushed outside the app.
Reviews, Check-Ins & Community Interaction
We built the full community engagement layer – user reviews, star ratings, check-ins, and photo uploads – directly into the app experience. This gave the platform a self-sustaining content loop where users contributed to the quality of information available to everyone else.
Built for Scale from Day One
We structured the app architecture to support a growing base of users, locations, and events without requiring a rebuild down the line. Every technical decision was made with long-term scalability in mind so the platform could grow as the community grew.
